
Beginning Sewing/Quilting Class

Presented by Marianne Guza, participants will learn how to make a patchwork pillow cover or a mug rug/ place mat. We will cover selecting fabrics, cutting and placement, stitching, ironing, binding and completing the project.
Cost $30—in addition you will need to provide the following supplies/fabric. Working sewing machine, including bobbin and instruction manual. 1 large spool of white or natural colored thread. 1 yard of neutral fabric for backing and binding. Scraps of colorful quilting fabric, or 2-4 fat quarters of quilting fabric. Seam ripper, scissors, and stick pins. You can also bring the following tools if you have them: rotary cutter and mat, quilting ruler, iron and tabletop ironing board or pressing mat.
Open to ages 12 and up, for all sewing skill levels. Participants should have basic knowledge on operating their sewing machine.
